About EDH

We are proud to be Hamilton, Ontario’s first Dodgeball league. In February of 2005 Extreme Dodgeball Hamilton started with 6 teams. After the first season people were hooked and demanded another season start right away. So it did! In a little over 3 years the league has grown to 40 teams, over 400 people and 4 divisions. Seasons are 15-17 weeks long and run 3 times a year. We have a Fall season (starting in September) a winter season ( starting in January and a Spring season (starting around March).

 

Due to the closure of our first location we were forced to look else where for a facility and found out quickly that this is a rare commodity in the city of Hamilton. We were lucky to find and rent the YWCA for a year but quickly out grew what little availability they had. We have now found a new home at Hillfield Strathallan College, located on the mountain beside Mohawk College.

 

From our humble beginnings in a modified mini gym to two beautiful full sized gyms at Hillfield it is safe to say we have come a long way and will continue to grow. We divide the full sized gyms into two dodgeball courts which are a little bit bigger than a volleyball court. We have had the pleasure of running very successful tournaments over the past few years, and will continue to do so.

 

Dodgeball is a growing sport across Canada and is truly a sport for everyone. We have everything from college and university students, to mom’s and dad’s, young and old adults. It is a level playing field where everyone has the same background…the primary school playground. Regardless of your athletic background you can be guaranteed to see amazing feats of athleticism on the dodgeball court and always from the most unexpected players. Not a week goes by when we are not completely amazed by dodgeball.
